Open an investment account in three simple steps.

Pick what you want to do, gather your documents, and submit your application online. We verify your documents, then invite you to your nearest branch to complete verification in person and open your account.

1 Apply online 2 We verify documents 3 Visit a branch to finish
Step 1

What do you want to do?

Pick the option closest to what you have in mind. You don't have to be sure. Your adviser will help you refine the choice.

You only open one account with us. The choice below tells us your starting point. Once your account is open, you can hold any combination of our products inside it.

Step 2

What you'll need before you start.

Have these to hand before you begin the application. It makes the process faster and avoids back-and-forth on documents later.

For yourself

If you're opening an account for personal investing
  • Valid Ghana Card (preferred) or international passport
  • A recent passport-sized photograph (a clear phone photo is fine for digital upload)
  • Proof of your home address such as a utility bill, bank statement, or similar dated within the last 3 months
  • Your Tax Identification Number (TIN)
  • Bank account details for funding and withdrawals
  • A short explanation of where the money to invest is coming from (employment, business, savings, inheritance)
  • Next of kin details (name, contact, relationship)
  • If you live outside Ghana: your country of residence and tax-residency declaration

For a company or organisation

If you're opening an account on behalf of a business, NGO, or institution
  • Certificate of Incorporation
  • Form A and Form B (formerly Form 3 and Form 4)
  • Company Regulations or Constitution
  • Board resolution authorising the investment account and naming authorised signatories
  • Beneficial ownership declaration (every natural person holding 10% or more)
  • ID and address verification for all directors and authorised signatories
  • Audited financial statements for the last 2 years (where available)
  • Tax Clearance Certificate
  • Source of funds and source of wealth statement
Step 3

How the process works.

Submitting the form is the start, not the finish. Here's exactly what happens after you click submit.

About 15 minutes

Apply online

Fill in the application form below. You'll provide your personal details, address, employment, the kind of investing you want to do, and answer a short risk-profile questionnaire. You'll also upload digital copies of your documents.

Within 2 working days

We verify your documents

Our compliance team reviews your application and the documents you've uploaded. We may contact you if anything is missing or unclear. Once everything checks out, we move to the next step.

At your convenience

Visit your nearest branch

We schedule an appointment for you to visit any of our twelve branches. You'll bring the original documents (so we can sight them in person), meet your relationship manager, and sign the client agreement.

Same day

Your account opens

Once your branch visit is complete, we open your account, issue your client ID, and you receive secure access to the client portal. You can fund your account and begin investing immediately.

Why a branch visit? Ghana's anti-money-laundering rules require us to verify your identity in person before we can fully open an investment account. The visit is short, usually 20 to 30 minutes, and lets us sight your original ID, take a verified photograph, sign the client agreement, and introduce you to the team that will look after your account. If you cannot visit a branch (for example, you live outside Ghana), please contact us at customers@premiumcapitalgh.com and we will arrange an alternative verification method that complies with the rules.
